PRIVACY POLICY

We attach great value to the protection of your data. In order to inform you about the full scope of the use of personal data, we ask that you read the privacy policy below.

Scope of application
This privacy policy informs the user of the type, scope and the purposes of the collection and processing of personal data on this website by the controller, Pöchtrager Metallbearbeitung GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “provider”).

Access data / server log files
The provider (or their webspace provider) collects data about every access to the website (so-called server log files). The access data includes: name of the webpage accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transmitted, notification of the successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the last website visited beforehand), IP address and the requesting provider. The provider uses the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, securing and optimising the website. The provider reserves the right, however, to check the log data at a later point in time in the case of a legitimate suspicion of unlawful use on the basis of definitive evidence.

Handling of personal data
Personal data is information with the help of which a person can be identified, i.e. data which can be traced back to a person. This includes name, email address or telephone number. However, data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites someone has viewed is also considered to be personal data. The provider only collects, uses and forwards your personal data if it is legally permitted or if the user consents to data collection.

Contact
If contact is made with the provider (for example, via the contact form or by email), the user’s information will be stored for the purpose of processing of the query as well as if follow-up questions arise.

Embedding of third-party services and content
It may be the case that contents or services of third parties, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, are embedded within our website. This always requires that the providers of such content (“third-party providers”) know the user’s IP address, since without the IP address, they would not be able to send the contents to the user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required to display such contents. We will attempt only to use content where the provider uses IP addresses solely for delivering the content. However, we have no influence over whether the third-party provider saves the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Where we are aware of this, we will inform the users accordingly.

Cookies
Cookies are small files which allow storing specific device-related information on the accessing device of the users (PC, smartphone or similar). On the one hand, their purpose is to improve user-friendliness, thus providing a better experience to the users (e.g. saving of log-in data). On the other hand, they are used to allow for storing statistical data on the website use and analysing it in order to improve the offering. The user can decide how or whether cookies are used. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the saving of cookies. However, we must point out that without cookies, use of the website and in particular user comfort will be restricted. You can manage many online display cookies of companies via the American website www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website www.aboutads.info/choices/.

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, small text files that are saved on the computers of users and which enable an analysis of how they use our website. As a general rule, the information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by the users will be transferred to a Google server in the US and will be stored there. In case of activation of IP anonymisation on this website, the IP address of the users is, however, abbreviated by Google within European Union member states or other states which are part of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to and shortened on a Google server in the US. IP anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate use of the website, to compile reports on website activities of the users, and to provide other services relating to the use of the website and of the internet to the website operator. The IP address transferred by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be combined with any other data from Google. The users can prevent the saving of the cookies by setting their browser software accordingly. However, this website would like to inform the users that in this case they may not be able to use all of the functions of this website to their full extent. In addition, the users can prevent the gathering of the data created by the cookie and related to their use of the website (incl. your IP address) as well as the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. As an alternative to the browser plugin or on browsers on mobile devices, you can click on this link to prevent data collection by Google Analytics on this website in the future. This will place an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click on this link again.

Use of Facebook Social Plugins
This website uses Social Plugins (“plugins”) from the social network facebook.com. which is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). The plugins can be identified by one of the Facebook logos (white “f” on blue tile, the term “Like” or a “Thumbs up” sign) or are marked with the addition “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list and appearance of the Facebook social plugins can be viewed here: developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. When a user accesses a page of this website which contains such a plugin, their browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transferred directly to your browser by Facebook and is integrated into the page. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of data which Facebook collects with the help of this plugin, and therefore informs the users according to our state of knowledge: when the plugin is embedded, Facebook is notified that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the website. If the user is logged on to Facebook, Facebook is able to allocate the visit to their Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the Like button or posting a comment, the relevant information is transmitted directly to a Facebook server by the browser and is stored there. If a user is not a Facebook member, it is still possible for Facebook to find out and store their IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymised IP address is stored in Germany. For more information on the purpose and the extent of data collection and its further processing and use by Facebook and on the user’s related rights and privacy protection settings, please refer to the Facebook privacy policy: developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. If a user is a member of Facebook and does not want Facebook to collect data on them via this website and associate such data with their member data which is saved on Facebook, they must log out of Facebook before visiting the website. Further settings and objections to the use of data for marketing purposes are possible in the Facebook profile settings: developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

Privacy policy for the use of Instagram
Functions from the Instagram service are embedded on our website. These functions are provided and integrated by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged in to your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages with your Instagram profile by clicking the Instagram button. If you do so, Instagram will be able to assign the visit of our pages to your user account. Please note that as the provider of the website, we do not have any access to the content of the transferred data or its use by Instagram.
You can find further information in this regard in Instagram’s privacy policy at www.instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

Objection, amendments, rectification and updating
The user has the right to obtain information about the personal data that was stored relating to them free of charge upon their request. The user furthermore has the right to the rectification of inaccurate data, and to have processing of their personal data restricted or the data erased, provided this is not precluded by any statutory retention obligation.

We look forward to hearing from you!
